2016 marks 25 years of Suzuki music education in the Yukon. On November 11, 6pm, the Suzuki Strings Association of the Yukon is hosting a concert in celebration of this milestone. The concert will include students and YRMTA teachers performing Bach's Concerto for Two Violins, Mozart's Violin Concerto in D+, and Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 (Prelude) on guitar.
We extend a warm welcome to all YRMTA members to join us in celebrating this anniversary, and we thank you all for your support of Suzuki and music education in the territory. The concert is at the Yukon Arts Centre, and admission is free. Please feel free to invite any other past members of YRMTA, community members, accompanists, musicians, audience members, and supporters who would be interested in attending.
